Funding your margin account

Once you have received an email providing you with the link to NedTrade, an account number, a user ID and a password, you will be able to transfer funds into your margin account using the following method:

Internet transfer

Transfer funds to the following bank account:
Account Name: Nedbank CFDs
Bank: Nedbank Limited
Type of account: Cheque Account
Branch code: 140105
Account number: 1401000010

It is essential to provide the account number of your CFD margin account as a reference on the internet transfer. Failure to provide this information could result in a delay in processing the cash receipt to your margin account, which could result in an involuntary closeout of your CFD positions.

Proof of payment will need to be faxed or emailed to Nedbank CFDs on 0861 633 233 or deposits@nedbankcfd.co.za.

Payments will only be credited to the margin account once reflected on Nedbank's bank statement.

Nedbank Capital CFD Disclaimer: CFDs are highly leveraged and carry a high level of risk. CFDs offer exposure to an underlying security with a relatively small cash outlay for the margin. This can have the effect of magnifying potential gains or losses. Investors should note that losses can exceed the amount of margin laid out. Investors may be involuntarily closed out due to a variety of reasons, including insufficient funds to meet a margin call or where Nedbank is unable to borrow underlying securities required to hedge its exposure to an investor’s short position.
